Well I have gone and done it!

Done what you say?  I am becoming blog happy!  I wanted to "do" something more with my life and to show and find out from others how life after "54" is going.  For the next 365 days I will be talking about different aspects of life and how it relates to those of us in our 50's.  I hope to share and learn new perspectives as I take on this unconventional journey.  (Unconventional for me that is!).

What a better day than today, June 14th to start.  Flag day is day we should continue to celebrate with our families and especially our younger generation, that may not understand the full meaning of this day. While Flag Day was celebrated in various communities for years after Wilson's proclamation, it was not until August 3rd, 1949, that President Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14th of each year as National Flag Day. Take time to visit this site and educate our younger generation!

Please provide your feedback on my blog and what Flag Day means to you!
